Authorized in 1993 and awarded to officers in the Command and Control operations field and to enlisted personnel in the Command and Control system operations career field. This field now incorporates the weapons controller and air traffic controller career fields which previously had their own badges. Other functions included in this career field are ground radar systems, tactical air control party, airspace management, air support operations, rescue co-ordinations, and the deployment of airfield operations.
